The fight day arrived, and so did we at the tournament hall, it is something special when you go inside a hall filled to the breaking point with huge fearsome fighters, that you know you will need to beat to go where you want! We came there with our team The Brotherhood me as the captain, and my brother as a fighter, we then armored up and got ready to brawl. The first fight was against Fabrica Swin, a polish team that, when we started the sport 5 years ago, came to Denmark and wiped the floor with us, and now the fight was on to give them back and show them what Vikings are made of! And so we did, we wiped the floor with them and walked over the team more easy then we had thought of. So we went on from team to team, fighting both Polish, Czech, and Russian teams, after 7 fights total and some brutal hits with dents all over and 3 fighters on the team out with injuries, we went to fight finals and sadly lost and went out, we ended up on a 4th place out of 15 teams in all! That for a Danish team was a crazy good placing, and we were also named the most surprising team to come and that no team, even the Russians had an easy fight with the Danish Vikings. After the days of fighting and training, we relaxed and spent some time with our Polish brothers and then left for our home country again, and came home even more proud and stronger than before ready to go again! What does not kill you makes you stronger. And if it kills you it’s no longer a problem. Injuries just messes with training, and slows progress.
